Necessary functions

This website uses an encrypted cookie to remember your cookie choice for up to 180 days. Its encryption key is held in your browser’s local database. The consent record contains your choice, a policy version, and timestamps; it does not contain messages, email addresses, or account credentials.

ChatGPT Sites may also use platform-managed cookies for authentication, security, or delivery of the website. Those cookies are controlled by the hosting platform. Valimo’s browser encryption applies to the consent cookie and saved notes implemented on this website; it does not alter platform or external-provider cookies.

Optional browser storage

Optional storage is off by default. Allowing it enables the encrypted Browser storage notes feature. Notes are saved only when you press Save. They stay in this browser and are not uploaded to Valimo’s servers. We have not added analytics or advertising cookies.

Your stored notes expire from use 180 days after their last save and are removed when next accessed. Withdrawing permission removes saved notes immediately. Your consent choice expires after 180 days. Clearing site data, using private browsing, or browser storage management can remove data earlier.

Encryption and its limits

Valimo’s consent cookie and saved notes use AES-GCM encryption. A non-exportable browser key is stored locally. This protects the stored contents against casual inspection or modification; it does not protect against malicious code running on this website’s origin, a compromised browser, or someone using your browser session. Do not use this feature as a password or secret vault.

Storage is specific to the current domain and browser. It is not shared automatically with another Valimo domain or device. Browser permission for durable storage cannot guarantee permanent retention.
